Life in the Fast Lane

In case you haven't known, a lot has happened this year. We'll go ahead and skip the bajillion details (since at this rate, we can write a novel of our adventures), and instead, we'll share the next few weeks.

The first item on the list is our first full century bike ride this weekend. Are we ready? Oh lordie no!
Will we laugh at ourselves while we're doing it? You betcha! 

Why aren't we ready? Oh, that's the second part of this excellent adventure we call Life. We decided to literally RACE to the alter on October 1st.  Oh wait, we didn't tell you that we got engaged?  Well, we did, on May 27th.  Who would have thought that trying to plan a wedding in less than 4 months would be a bad idea?

(Un)Fortunately we had also signed up for a full marathon on October...5.5 weeks from now. We certainly know how to make life interesting! Right now, we're going to give some focus on our bike ride. We Need to be Better With This...

OK, so between riding, running, working, and traveling, blogging has sadly started to fall by the wayside.

Here's an update:

Lots of riding...and some running for Kristiana

Dave picked up a new bike - and some very revealing spandex - so he now looks and feels fast. He was very excited to get his new Look 566 Ultegra and has LOVED riding even more. We've even started a pretty casual Saturday ride with some good friends, which usually ends with a couple of beers and lunch. So if anything, this adventure has been a fantastic opportunity for us to expand our active life with our friends. Surprisingly enough, we have not run out of things to talk about or laugh at.

We're appreciative of everyone who has joined us - it's truly been a blast so far!
